SEARCHALMY
'Serchalmy' (Cir-Kal-Me) Service Alchemy. Personal Transformation within the process of serving Spirit, the Self, our Fellow Man, or the Planet Earth with all its' ecosystems. That which so significantly changes us individually that it also effects a like change within the world around us; Alchemy which appears effortless when the process takes place amidst inherent gifts and talents and within the course of serving others.
It is the belief of many that in opening the Self up to becoming more aware of the subtle signals that we are bombarded with daily, we place ourselves in better alignment to receive precious information with which to navigate our paths in life. A quest that should be explored and cherished. For at least two turns of the Great Wheel of Life I had pondered how best to listen to the universe and understand when a message received is one meant to be planted and nurtured through harvest. Recent opportunities for me and mine to be of service brought with them the answers. An epiphany is a thought that has managed to connect itself to another despite your best efforts to continue to ignore it! Why do some keys to inner change await a certain time or event to emerge? Is there truly some cosmic crossroad that reveals itself when least expected? Perhaps when we offer ourselves to the needs of others we forget to be bathed in our own expectations and open windows for viewing that evasive crossroad we seek.
The secret ingredient for baking epiphanies into life is Timing. This most excellent ingredient cannot be purchased...it can only be earned. On one particular day, I was in service to a community project, doing what felt to be natural to me; that which was in line with my gifts, talents and passions. It had been many years since being of service and my personal affinity for a certain venue of expression had worked together as one. As the course of the afternoon played out, I realized that I had truly reached a significant crossroad in my life and along my path. A need and a passion had sought to find the third point of the triangle.
That which you are most passionate about is where your natural affinities lie...and you must pay them heed! They are one for a reason. Your passions are the catalysts for your own journey of change. In changing yourself, you effect change in the world around also...
It is our responsibility to life itself to return what we are able in service to others, and the world around us. Most of do this naturally, sometimes finding areas to contribute similar to those within our career paths, sometimes stepping out of our mundane lives and working with our talents. What matters is that we strive to give back some what we have or what we have learned. I have found however, that if we attempt to serve within our passions, we might actually find internal transformation in the process.
While pondering this reflection over a cold cup of leftover morning coffee, just before it was time to clean the last brush and place the lid on the last paint can, yet another thought floated across my mind in slow motion as if within a dream...
The simple concept of 'Serchalmy' has become the mission of our group here. Finding that one thing, that one experience that kindles your passion and transforms your internal being. When you then share it with others, you will find that it was both what you were seeking and what you were seeking to be the vehicle for expansion of soul. It is truly a recipe for baking something nutritious into our world...
We use the concept of Serchalmy as a guide when selecting a path of service, both personal and for service within the community. You will find if this concept does for you the least that you expect it to...you will have opened yourself up to becoming more aware.
The rest...is up to you. It's just a thought to ponder the next time you wonder if timing and talent, service and giving are truly connected. Everything always...is.
* The following experience was written/created as a way to begin to open yourself up to new experiences, and to allow new energies to come into your world by seeing from a different point of view. It also incorporates the senses, which are the means by which we take in information. You might choose to take the first strep in reconfiguring how you allow information into your self, and approach something familiar from a different direction. It will stir up your own energies a bit, and you might feel a bit of freedom and change within your personal experience.
It truly is by way of our senses that most of us validate information, including our choices. The following is a sensual exercise in restructuring the information we allow to be absorbed or reflected, and practice in working with the visual vibrations of color. Try it...you might just be surprised.
A Healing Circle of Color of Light
Time: Each New Moon or Full Moon
Set a time for guest arrival, and be sure to note when you will be entering Sacred Space
Place: Preferably out of doors, as there will be an open fire involved. You will require a fire pit or appropriate vehicle for the Sacred Fire. If weather or location necessitate an indoor event, the 'fire' can be created within a large cauldron or fire safe dish with a large candle or need fire.
Energy: The presiding Astrological energies, or any 'augmented' circumstances posted in advance as well...certainly all of the color vibrations which occur within the Universe, and the light on which it rides
Dress: As always, Black is traditional and welcomed, but Color is equally welcomed in these Color specific circles. You may choose the traditional Astrological corresponding color, a color aligned with what you wish to bring to the circle, or you may choose from one of the 'Presiding Color Energies' that will be posted prior to the New Moon or Full Moon Esbat. As you will either reflect, absorb or refract your chosen color...be prepared to know what energy(s) you have chosen to represent. This is a wondrous way to learn about color energy and share your wisdom with others...
The Procedure...
**Rotate the opportunity to be the Fire Keeper. The Keeper will be responsible for setting up the fire pit, lighting the fire, assuring all the supplies (pencils, petition papers, crayons, offerings, etc.) and tools are readied prior to the participants entering Sacred Space. The Fire Keeper will also be responsible for the censing of the participants.
**The Color Guide (also rotate this honor) will be responsible for anointing, and for the instruction given to the group, as well as then guiding the healing circle procedure.
...Begin playing flute /drum music: and drumming if drummers available...the drummer(s) will continue throughout the ...Create Sacred Space
...Cleanse and Consecrate each participate upon entering
...Color Guide will lead the group to Ground and Center: (This is but one example to begin the first circle...be spontaneous and myriad in your variety from then on...)
"You close your eyes and are aware of the brilliant White Light that has watched over you throughout the day. But the Sun is setting now, and its wondrous Golden Light is touching the top of your head just as it does the mountain behind you. You breathe in the fragrant warmness, and realize you are able to taste the Golden rays turning into a rich sweet Red velvet which then swirls around and within your heart. As the Red leaves your heart, the gooey wonder of a weightier Purple liquid slowly flows towards the base of your spine as you sense it turning into the deepest of Browns. Your legs now support the all the vibrations of the Colors which flow through you seeking the earth below your feet. You breathe deeply, and allow the energies to ooze into the Blackness beneath the ground, knowing without opening your eyes, that night has fallen somewhere in the world. You feel the connection of the Black within the earth below you, and are planted firmly within Her tender arms...open your eyes and understand that the Void awaits now your petitions for healing and new growth".
...Color Guide will lead the group in the Fire Invocations as the Fire Keep lights the Sacred Fire:

Bring forth the source of the Key and the secrets of Color!
Arise now the Foundation, the Sun lends now its hold...

Arise now the connection of Substance and the bond of the hue...
From the mist and the sky forms the mystery of the Blue.

Arise now the Beams from which the ceiling is bled...
From the earth and the sunset forms the mystery of the Red!"
YOU NOW HAVE THE PRIMARY COLOR PALATE FROM WHICH TO MIX SECONDARY AND TERTIARY COLOR ENERGIES...and the Colors created a visual ...The Color Guide will now pass out the colored slips of papers and pencils and colored crayons; the participants are instructed to select the colors/energies that best seem to suit what it is they are seeking in petition.
Suggestions Only: You will feel which Color energy you wish to connect with your petition...(Lists will be ongoing and posted around the circle...expound on them as your gut feels is right for you...)
Gold: Prosperity, Enlightenment, Divine Intervention, Success, Alchemical goals, invoking God energies
Yellow: Joy, Awe, Happiness, healing bruises
White: Purity of thought, Marriage requests, Surrendering self to Deity, Chemo-therapy, fighting Depression, Invoking the Goddess
Red: Fast Action, Passion, Requests to heal Blood elated disease and disorder, job
Interviews, Passive aggressive issues, Mars energies
Blue: Spirituality, Calling for Angels, Calming hyperactivity, Curing Migraines or Nausea
Purple: Divine assistance, Introspection, Pursuing your passion, Curing Liver ailments, Reverence, Jupiter energies
Green: Calm, Peace, Balance, Curing fever, Fresh starts, New beginnings, Protection,
Love, Venus energies
Black: Surrender, Avoidance issues, Sleep disorders, Kick Starting stalled states, Protection, Saturn energies
'Neon': Undecided assignments, blank petitions you are leaving for Spirit to assign
...Sufficient time is allowed for everyone to write out as many petitions as they require
...The participants will be instructed to hold their hands over their petitions and endeavor to See, Touch, Taste, Hear, and Smell the visual vibrational energies they have asked to assist them...
...The Color Guide will now pass baskets which have been assigned the colors of the Rainbow, plus one Neon basket for 'undecided' color energies
...Each participant will place the appropriate colored petitions into the matching basket
...One by one the baskets will be held overhead by the Color Guide as the group chants the Alchemical Chant of Color...
"Mighty Spirit of Light in which all Color lives,
Accept now these petitions as I give thanks for my sight.
Allow me to paint with joy for others... and the energies hive,
That our hearts and our spirits will be free to take flight!"
...The Fire Keeper will offer the petitions to the Flame while the group chants...
"Mighty Spirit of All that creates Shadow and Shade...
Continue the journey on the path that is now laid.
May my strength and my courage never flicker or fade..
Knowing I am the reason that this magick is made!"
...When all of the baskets have been offered to Spirit by way of the Fire, the group will stand and breathe three sacred breaths upon the flame.

...The Color Guide will lead the group in a favorite song
...Ground and Center as a Group once again...this time, each envisioning themselves as the Color of choice, and allow their visual energies to melt into the ground for Gaia to spring forth anew within the coming season.
...A basket of crayons will be passed around and each participant will receive a Color representation for the week to 'become' and grow closer to the energies of this vibration.
...Many hugs...
...Clean up...
...The Fire Keeper will ensure the safe end to the fire
...Snack together and discuss Color and Life as family...
Continue on throughout the coming month 'becoming' the vibrational energies of the colors you chose to invoke and work within.
